VEGETARIAN RECIPES
Soya Milk Making
Ingredient:
1. Soya beans
Procedure:
a. Soak soy beans overnight.
b. The next day, remove as much skin as possible.
c. Grind the soy beans with water with the ratio of 1:3 soy beans to water
d. Squeeze in the soy beans to get the milk in a cheese cloth
e. Boil the milk, stirring continuosly to avoid curding.
f. After boiling cool then add salt and sugar for the taste.
1 kilo of soya beans will produce a 1 ½ galons of soya milk.
Vege ball/burger
Ingredients:
1. 1 glass of grind soy beans from squeeze soy beans
2. 1 pc. of egg
3. 1 pc. of onions
4. 5 pcs. of onion leaves
5. 5 pcs. of garlic
6. 1 tsp. of brown sugar
7. 1/3 cup of all purpose flour
8. ½ cup of vegetable oil
9. ¼ cup of soy sauce ( Hapson)
10. ¼ kilo of carrot
Procedure:
a. Blend all ingredients into the blender except the flour and soya beans
b. Mix the flour and soya beans in blended ingredients
c.Form these in vege ball or vege burger and steam or fry in hot oil.
MAKING GLUTEN
Ingredients:
8 cups of gluten flour ( all purpose flour)
2 ½ cups of water
Procedure:
a. Mix the gluten flour with water to make stiff dough
b. Form into a ball and knead well. Let stand under water for at least ½ hour, or overnight, if possible.
c. Wash out starch by kneading with the hand in the water, by being careful to keep the dough together.
d. Pour off the starchy water frequently and continue washing until the water is almost clear. You will then have a lump of gluten.
e. Boil the lump of gluten in water with onions and soy sauce(Hapson)
f. Refrigerate until needed.
Vege Tocino
Ingredients:
1. sliced gluten
2. unsweetened pineapple juice
3. garlic
4. onions
5. black pepper
6. brown sugar
7. salt to taste
8. coconut or vegetable oil
Procedure:
a. Marinate the sliced gluten with all the ingredients amount of it to taste.
b. After marinating fry it in vegetable oil. Optinal add ketchup
c. Serve
Chicharon
Ingredients:
1. gluten sliced into thin slices
2. salt
3. black pepper
Procedure:
1. Mix salt and black pepper into the sliced gluten.
2. Dry the sliced gluten. (in the sun).
3. Fried it with oil and serve.
Vegetarian Bagoong
Ingredients:
a. 3 pcs. eggs
b. 2 tsp. salt
c. 8 pcs. calamansi
d. 5 pcs. sili
e. ¼ cup soy sauce(hapson)
f. 1 whole garlic
g. 1 whole onions
h. cooking oil
Procedure:
a. Mix ingredients a,b,c,d & e.
b. Saute garlic and onions and add the mixed ingredients.
Serve.
Crispy Ampalaya
Ingredients:
1. Ampalaya leaves
2. Egg whites
3. Salt to tatse
4. Cornstarch
Procedure:
a. Place the ampalaya leaves with ice
b. Mix the eggwhites salt and cornstarch
c. Dip the amplaya leaves to the eggwhite mixture
d. Fry in oil
e. Serve
Fresh Lumpia
Ingredients:
a. baguio beans
b. carrots
c. singkamas
d. cabbage
e. tofu fry in oil
f. bihon deep fry until crispy
g. herbs ``ho ti``
h. crushed peanuts with brown sugar mixed
i. sauce – ketchup and brown sugar
j. fresh lumpia wrapper
k. lettuce
Procedure:
1. Fry individually with no oil a,b,c,& d. Add salt, sugar and water.
2. Put together all ingredients in the fresh lumpia wrapper.
3. Serve.
Fresh Lumpia wrapper
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1-1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
Mix all ingredients and cook in a non-stick pan.
